Dr. Christine Uruliak graduated from The University of Calgary with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Since then, she continued her studies in chiropractic and graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario in 2006.
Growing up on a farm in a small town with a big family, Dr. Christine participated in many outdoor activities. From horseback riding to hockey, her love of sports continues today. She carries that passion into her clinics, treating athletes from young to old, professional to recreational with a variety of techniques — some which include Graston, myofascial release therapy/cupping, manual as well as activator adjustments.
Becoming a mom herself in 2012, Dr. Christine realized the importance of chiropractic care in the treatment of pregnancy and pediatrics. As a young athlete and competitor, I discovered the importance of injury management through chiropractic treatment and manual therapies. In conjunction with managing my inflammatory arthritic condition, chiropractic care has been an immensely positive influence in my life. This led me to a developed appreciation for the chiropractic profession and for what it has to offer. The result of which has led to life-long learning of the human body and how to optimise health. With a person-centered approach, I aim to provide individuals with evidence-informed, personalised care that can help improve overall quality of life.
I was raised in Northwest Calgary and am an active member of the community. My studies began at Lakeland College where I was on a sports scholarship being an integral part of the men’s soccer team. I continued my studies in Biological Sciences at University of Alberta before completing my Doctor of Chiropractic in Toronto at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
I am motivated to forge lasting relationships that emphasise overall wellness and encourage people to take a proactive approach when it comes to their health. With personal experience in combination with my knowledge in various treatment techniques I am able to provide customised care that will help patients achieve their goals.
During my free time, I enjoy participating in competitive men’s soccer along with running and cycling. A personal highlight being the completion of the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. In addition, I enjoy volunteering with various organisations in the city. When not in the clinic, you can find me in the mountains camping, hiking, skiing or spending time with my family, friends or travel
